The next monthly Slow Food Central New Jersey Eat Local Winter Farmers Market in the series will take place 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20 at the New Jersey Museum of Agriculture, in North Brunswick. Visit http://www.agriculturemuseum.org/directions.html for directions.

This is the fourth month the moving market will include a variety of farm vendors, food producers and a winery. Included are seasonal staples such as cold-weather greens, baked goods and pies, as well as meats, cheese, eggs, breads, mushrooms, honey, pickles, wine and more. Prepared foods to bring home such as handmade pierogis and stuffed cabbage round out the selection.

Cooking demonstrations will feature ingredients found at the market. Eno Terra Restaurant’s Executive Chef Chris Albrecht will present one of the demos and musical entertainment will be provided by the duo Sage Derby.

Organized in collaboration with the Lawrenceville Main Street Farmers Market, the Rutgers Gardens Farmers Market and the West Windsor Community Farmers Market, this series of winter markets is in its fourth year of being presented by Slow Food Central New Jersey.
